- a Collection of some of my favorite shoots
Ryan and Shyla - Gresham, OR
I shot Shyla and Ryan's wedding in Camas, WA seven years ago.
Since then, aside from moving to Kentucky and then back to the
Northwest, I have learned alot as a photographer and have
developed a unique style that at the time, I hadn't
yet discovered. We thought it would be fun to go out and do
a Romantic Anniversary shoot where I could take some special pictures
for them. This would be especially meaningful for them as Ryan
was only back for a few months and would then be returning to
Afghanistan.
Harrison and Shanna - Louisville, Kentucky
Harrison and Shanna - wow.. another remarkable couple!
I actually don't think I have met anyone more positive and encouraging, I wish I could clone you guys!! LOL
Again, it was such a joy and honor to be a part of such an important
day. The love between them so genuine, it was moving even from
behind the lens.
From that moment when Shanna walked down the aisle with her mother,
tears in her eyes as Harrison's eyes also welled up at the sight of her
coming towards him...to when, after being pronounced husband and wife,
they walked back down the aisle and Shanna could no longer contain the
tears of joy.. BEAUTIFUL!
PS okay and for real, the irony of groom's cake being MtHood... hehe awesome!
Lindsay and Larry - Sellersburg, Indiana
This wedding was sooo much FUN!
Larry and Leslie are such an incredible couple to work with. It
was truly a joy to shoot their wedding. They are kind, laid back and
very positive and giving people. Their love was clear even as
they saw each other for the first time and Leslie couldn't keep from
crying. They also had such a great group of friends that
made taking these pictures all the more fun! We did some shots at
the wedding site but then drove over to the Fuzzy Zoeller golf course
where we took the couch out, hijacked some golf carts, and went to
town! These are but a few of the pictures.. so hard to choose!
October 2009
Well what a season it has been!
I have finally made it accross the country and relocated back in the Pacific Northwest woohoo!
Hectic it was yes as I tried to balance packing, moving, unpacking,
shooting, editing, designing albums, flying back and forth BUT there is
finally light at the end of this tunnel!
After shooting back in Kentucky this last weekend, I now have the next
6 weeks off from shooting weddings and I am really looking
forward to getting back into a normal routine (*and note: if anyone
knows what that is Please email me :)
Ok ok seriously, I have been so blessed this Wedding season - amazing
couples, amazing stories, and I am so excited about the new shots I
have been allowed to capture.
Hope you guys enjoy them - I have decided to give this blog thing another try... we shall see!
Sarah and Scott - October 10th Hodgenville, KY
I don't think I have ever met a bride SOOOO happy to FINALLY be getting married!!
All brides are excited, yes, but this one could not stop smiling
anytime we met! Even through the phone, I could hear her smiling :)
I also loved her sense of style and the challenge of wanting some more fashion style portraits... boy did we have fun!
Since photography is something she loves so much, she also worked the
schedule around us being able to have as much time as possible to just
do as many creative pictures as we wanted... nice!!!
Brett Mikels - October 4th -CD Shoot
MCMennamins Edgefield Winery - Troutdale, OR
Emily - Senior Pictures, Portland, OR

September 2008
One of my favorite weddings of the year: Amanda and Nathan - wedding in IN, reception at the Gault House, Louisivlle, KY.
Not
only were they just a wonderful couple to work with but their bridal
parties get high marks for incredible positive energy !
(and p.s. thank you Trish for your help..let me know when California
gets too boring for you LOL)
November 2008
Laura Bush speaking in Hodgenville, KY at the birthplace
of Abraham Lincoln.
What fun it was
to have the opportunity to shoot this event! I was
thrilled when I received credentials to be in the media pool.
Thankfully this time, no freezing rain :)
